HIPPOCAMPAL NEURAL CIRCUIT
While I was working at MRC Oxford, I discovered a novel neural connection between specific inhibitory neurons called O-LM cells in hippocampus. This project is to investigate the properties and roles of the connection. Below, two O-LM cell pairs I recorded are shown.
The project is in collaboration with Dr. Peter Szucs (Debercen University, Hungary) and Dr. Yoshikazu Isomura and Dr. Takeshi Aihara (Brain Science Institute, Japan).
